Sometimes Mike says things that are more than just obvious, they are painfully obvious. But that doesn’t keep him from saying these things. Things that make Harvey have to close his eyes for a moment and remind himself that Mike is a genius, he keeps the kid around for that mind. Even when it seems like Mike is doing his very best to seem like an idiot.

Still, Harvey finds it amusing - not that he’d ever actually say that. And not that he’d ever admit to it being anything other than that. Mike struggling to come up to a response when Harvey points out these moments are a highlight of his day.

It makes Mike human though, is the thing.

It’s so easy to look at him, and see all that drive, that need to please, that desire to be good and forget that there is more to Mike than that. He’s more than just an eager puppy, though he is certainly that. He’s a young man too, one that Harvey finds himself increasingly drawn to.

So it’s these little moments, the ones where Mike leaves himself open, states the obvious, that Harvey really appreciates, likes seeing every part of Mike. Even this part that leaves his associate gaping at him while he just grins.
